I did not find a fix, but I found a workaround I have installed the Windows Virtual PC for Windows 7 and installed the VPN in the Windows XP virtual machine. Its not an ideal solution, but it does allow me to get email via the VPN as I installed Outlook on the VM as well. Its a bit of a waste of HD space, but it gets the job done.
