(153) IMDb 8.1 1974 3 Bob Newhart. Real Name: George Robert Newhart. Profile: American stand-up comedian and actor, born 5 September 1929 in Oak Park, Illinois, USA. Sites: Wikipedia Bob Newhart's third comedy album doesn't deviate too far from the usual formula: Newhart adopts a persona and voices half of a conversation or gives a speech. There are a few exceptions, including the leadoff track, "Rocket Scientist," where he voices both sides of an interview, and part of the second side. Bob Newhart has that dry, almost serious comedy funniness about him - you've got to love him as well as this show. I highly recommend it to those who may have seen this show when it originally ran, who want to relive the fun of this comedy series again like I am, and those younger who've never seen or heard of it.
